Nellie L. Magaw

WEST BOYLSTON-Nellie L. Magaw, 71, passed away Sunday, February 1.

Her husband of 42 years, Carl G. Magaw died in 1998. She leaves two daughters, Cynthia D. Riley and Donna L. Magaw both of West Boylston; two brothers, Stanley Hasselman of Rindge, NH and Edward "Butchie" Hassleman of Walpole, NH; three sisters, Betty Needham of Sterling, Janet Wilson of Vermont and Linda Hasselman of Sterling; three grandchildren, Tara Lee Magaw, Joseph Riley, Jr. and Joshua Riley and many nieces and nephews. Her daughter, Catherine M. Cape predeceased her.

She was born in Boston and graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School. She worked at Major Edward's Cafeteria and later worked for Worcester County Sheriff's Office, retiring in 2001. Mrs. Magaw enjoyed playing cribbage, cooking, crocheting, ceramics, arts and crafts. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Christopher House for the care that Mrs. Magaw received.

Funeral services and burial are Private. Arrangements are under the care of FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W.
