Nixaliz Rios

ATHOL: Nixaliz Rios, 48, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, after an illness.

She is survived by her husband, Luis Robles; her two sons, Pedro Vizcaino and his wife, Anita of Fitchburg, and Angel Vizcaino of Athol; her four siblings, Javier Rios, Sonimaryl Rios, Yeleica Rios, and Anthony Rios; her two grandchildren, Luis and Mia; her best friend Jennifer Surin, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Nixa was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Inocencio Rios & Carmen Diaz. She was a dedicated medical secretary at the Women’s Center at UMass Memorial Hospital, for many years. She enjoyed listening and dancing to music and watching wrestling and boxing fights. However, her greatest pleasure came from spending quality time with family and friends, nurturing bonds that will be forever cherished. Nixa had a heart of gold; to her children and her siblings, she was their Queen and their rock.

Visiting Hours will be held from 4 until 6PM, with a Funeral Service at 6pm, on Monday, December 8, 2025, in the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Burial will be private.
