Norma L. Nowak

WEST BOYLSTON-Norma L. (Granlund) Nowak, 72, of West Boylston, died Monday, February 2 at home. Her husband of 50 years, Edwin J. Nowak died in January, 2005. She leaves a son Edwin J. Nowak Jr.; three daughters, Debra N. Parker, Sandra N. Ivins and Pamela J. Leonardi, all of West Boylston; a sister, Margaret Kenney of Holden; nine grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Kenneth Granlund predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Gustav and Anna (Olsson) Granlund. Norma worked for a variety of area retail and financial institutions. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Norma was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral services are private. Burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Second Chance Fund for Animal Welfare, P.O. Box 118, Bolton, MA 01740.
