Norman H. Goodale, 90 (11/08/1933 – 08/26/2024)

West Boylston – Norman H. Goodale, 90, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024 after a short stay at the Oakdale Nursing Home. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years Lorraine F. Goodale. He leaves three children Diane Demoe and her husband David of West Tisbury, Steven Goodale and his wife Pamela of Barre, Glenn Goodale and his wife Kathleen of Petersham; 6 grandchildren Alec, Patrick, Lena, Samantha, Cassie and Benjamin; 5 great-grandchildren Colton, Ailey, Sean, Cora and Remy “Norman”.

He was born in Holden on November 8, 1933, a son of the late Mason and Lena (Gehling) Goodale of West Boylston. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Mildred Goodale Rayworth, Doris Goodale Almstrom, Elsie Goodale Scales and Grace Goodale Moore.

Norman spent most of his working years at Heald Machine in Worcester. He also kept in close contact with many of his former Heald’s coworkers through his retirement years. Norman had an amazing work ethic but also treasured his time spent with family and friends. He also had a lifelong interest in tractors and anything with an old engine.

The family would also like to thank the many nurses and aides from the Jewish Healthcare Center Hospice Care and the Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center for their love and support.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston.
