WEST BOYLSTON-Pamela J. (Bowie) Marrone, 71, passed away Friday, October 28 surrounded by her four children at the Lahey Hospital, Burlington.

Pamela was born in Quincy, daughter of the late Everett J. Bowie and Carol F. (Smith) Bowie. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Hingham and St. Joseph’s College in CT. In 1972, Pam married the love of her life, Donnie Marrone and moved to West Boylston where she raised four children and became the heart and soul of not only her family but also the Wachusett Country Club. Pam’s entire life was rooted in her family, friends, and simple pleasures. She enjoyed her yearly trips with her family to Atlantis, daily card games with Donnie, and keno with her two partners in crime, Fr. Jim Shea and Jack Ormond whom she missed dearly upon their deaths.

Her husband of 45 years, Donald J. ”Donnie” Marrone, Jr. died in 2017. Her legacy will be carried on by her family including her children, Matthew J. Marrone and his wife Jamie of West Boylston, Cara F. Cullen of West Boylston, Michael J. Marrone and his wife, Evelyn of Paxton and Nicholas D. Marrone of Holden; eleven cherished grandchildren, Anthony, Andrew, Sam, Peter, Edith, Elizabeth, Lillian, Hannah, Sofia, Cami, Ryan; eight siblings, Sharon Morgan of Lawrence, KS, Joanne Woodgate of Kingston, Kathleen Owens of Greenfield, NH, Everett "Jay" Bowie of Plymouth, Steven Bowie of Port Orange, FL, Michael Bowie of Charlton, Carolyn Bowie of Plymouth and John Bowie of Atlanta, GA, her loyal dog Flo, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her blessed angel grand-daughter, Emma Marrone, her nephew Ryan Woodgate, and her stepmother and best friend, Claire (Patts) Bowie.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Pam’s Life at 11:00am on Friday, November 4. at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 111 Worcester St. The family requests that friends go directly to church. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to the Emma Marrone Memorial Fund, c/o Cornerstone Bank 230 Park Avenue, Worcester, 01608. Arrangements in the care of Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, West Boylston.
