Pantelis Latsis

d. January 4, 2016

Pantelis Latsis, 69, of West Boylston, a longtime resident of Dalton, died on January 4, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Latsis was born on October 15, 1946 in Leonido, Greece, a son of the late Ioannis and Anna (Consta) Latsis. He attended local schools and after graduating served in the Hellenic Army as an MP for 4 years. Following his service, Pantelis worked as a carpenter for a construction company where they built many beautiful homes around the country. He met and married Venetia (Klironomos) with whom he celebrated 46 years of marriage this past year.

In 1976 he and his young family immigrated to the United States where they settled in Dalton, Massachusetts. There, he and his wife opened and operated Palace Pizza for over 30 years.

Mr. Latsis was very proud of his service in the Hellenic Army and would often reminisce on his experiences. He was an avid gardener and loved to follow his favorite soccer teams, which he enjoyed playing as a youth. He was fortunate enough to enjoy many trips with his family to Greece to visit their extended family there.

Mr. Latsis was pre-deceased by his beloved son Dimitrios Pantelis Latsis.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 46 years, Venetia (Klironomos) Latsis; two sons, John Latsis and his wife Jennifer of Holden, and Petro Latsis and his wife Nicole of West Boylston; two daughters, Anna Hewson and her husband Jeffrey of West Boylston and Vasiliki Latsis of Hinsdale; 10 grandchildren; his brother, two sisters and many cousins who all reside in Greece; He also leaves his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eleni and Costa of North Adams; many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9 from 9:30 until 11:00AM at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 WEST BOLYSTON ST., WEST BOYLSTON. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm at Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the church.
