Tricia put her heart and soul into teaching K-1 for more than 30 years, with the last 20 years in the town of Hubbardston, MA at Hubbardston Center School. She particularly loved teaching about the Iditarod dog races across Alaska. A woman of great faith, she loved nature and the beauty of New England’s four seasons. Tricia would proudly decorate her home as the seasons changed. She appreciated the simple things in life, such as gazing at the brilliance of stars and fireflies, the warmth of her fireplace, and watching the birds and monarch butterflies at her home. With her beloved husband, they raised chickens and recently added their two Olde English Bulldogge puppies, Lulu and Milo, to their family. Tricia's greatest passion during her retirement was lovingly tending to her breathtaking gardens.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and spending time with her loved ones was paramount to her. In the company of loved ones, Tricia was known to light up a room with her smile and laughter. She created many fond memories with her family through vacations on Cape Cod. She was blessed to visit Ireland during which she connected with members of her Irish heritage. In addition, Tricia and her devoted husband traveled to Alaska to explore its stunning beauty. Along with her son Matthew, she was an avid New England sports fan, especially Patriots Football. Although Tricia is no longer with us, we will continue to feel her presence and love through the beauty of nature.
