Patricia Creighton (Peltier) Benoit, 66, surrounded by her beloved family and friends, died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 30, in her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Worcester, she is survived be her husband of 47 years, Raymond W. Benoit, her sons; Richard P. Benoit of Worcester and Mark W. Benoit of Charlton; her daughters; Kristen E. Benoit of Worcester and Tricia C. Benoit of Bellows Falls, VT; her brother, William “Mike” Peltier of Worcester; eight grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael R. Benoit.

She was born Nov 15th 1938 and raised in Worcester, Patricia was the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Creighton) Peltier. Patricia’s dedicated service to those in need spanned over 20 years while employed with the Head Start Program of Worcester. Most recently she was employed part time at CVS Pharmacy. She was also an award winning volunteer for Girls Inc. of Worcester. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother and cherished friend. Her true happiness was found in her family whether at Monday night dinners or the yearly family retreat to Cape Cod.

Calling Hours are Sunday, Jan. 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 9 Hammond St. The funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. in St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 0 Freeland St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, Girls Incorporated c/o Maria Rosado-Executive Director, 125 Providence St., Worcester, 01604.
