WORCESTER-Patricia Margaret (Laverty) Brunelle, 85, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph F. and Mary E. (O'Loughlin) Laverty and was the youngest of 10 children. She was predeceased by her nine siblings; Alfred, Russell, Paul and William Laverty and five sisters, Grace and Claire Laverty, Barbara Scotti, Mary St. Germain and Dorothy McFadden.
Pat is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Philip P. Brunelle, and two daughters, Patricia A. Piascik of Brookfield and Paula M. Jacevicius and her husband Allen of Millbury. She was a loving and devoted "Gigi" to six beautiful grandchildren; Elizabeth and Jake Jacevicius and Meaghan, Christopher, Bridget and Aidan Piascik. Pat also leaves a brother-in-law, Ernest Brunelle and his wife Marilyn of Oakham and many nephews and nieces.
Pat worked for the former Worcester County National Bank for several years, and later worked in the cafeteria at various Worcester Public Schools, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. John's Church and was a volunteer for 18 years at the Worcester Senior Center. Pat loved to visit Martha's Vineyard and she and Phil loved their bus trips to the casino.
The funeral will be held Saturday, May 26th from Callahan Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street with a Mass at 10:00am at St. John's Church, 40 Temple Street. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will also be held Saturday from 8am until 9:30 in the funeral home.
