WORCESTER
Patricia A. (O'Hearn) Geneva, 67, of Worcester died Wed., in St. Vincent Hospital.
She leaves two sons, James Geneva and his wife Joanne of Sutton and Christopher Geneva and his wife Maria of Worcester; two brothers, Joseph O'Hearn and his wife Ann and Charles O'Hearn all of Florida; four grandchildren, Nicholas of Worcester, Christopher of California, Joseph and Keith and their mother, Lori Hauver all of Worcester; several nieces and nephews and many kind friends. A son, Steven Geneva predeceased her in 2006. She was born in Amarillo, TX daughter of Joseph A. and Anna J. (Maloney) O'Hearn and graduated from Classical High School, attended UMASS and graduated with honors from Clark University.
Pat was a facility manager for 25 years at Allmerica Insurance Company. She was a volunteer at Worcester City Hall, the Ecotarium, Preservation Worcester, Rachel's Table, the former Belmont Home and most recently she did volunteer work at Mayor Luke's Office and the former Mayor Murray's Office at the City Hall in Worcester. She was daily communicant at St. Paul's Cathedral and a member of St. John's Church. She was a former CCD teacher and Cub Scout Leader. Pat was a Big Sister and still kept in touch with her Little Sister Mary Ellen. The most important things in her life were God, her children, her grandchildren and volunteering.
The funeral will be held Mon., Jan. 28, from Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Sun., Jan. 27, from 2 to 5 PM at the funeral home.
