Patricia L. (Coffey) Jones, 73, died Sunday March 26, 2023 peacefully with her family by her side.

She leaves her husband of 46 years, Kenneth R. Jones and six children: a daughter Christine Baril and her husband Donald of Shrewsbury, a son Thomas Magliaro and his wife Jeanne of Barre, a daughter Cynthia Lariviere and her husband Michael of Dartmouth, a son Timothy Magliaro and his wife Debbie of Worcester, a son Michael Jones and his wife Kristina of Princeton, and a daughter Maureen Jones and her husband Dale Bond of Providence.  Pat also leaves fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Paulauskas, her sister Barbara Silva, her brother Edward Coffey and her brother Everett Morse.

She was born on March 27, 1949, in Worcester, a daughter of Edward Coffey Sr. and Juliette (Fortin) Coffey and attended Marian High School in Worcester. She received her BSBA at Suffolk University and her MST at Bentley College and her CPA certification in 1984. She was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Public Accountants where she previously held a director role. She participated in various committees in her profession including president of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Worcester and serving as a Trustee at Bay State Savings Bank.

Pat’s professional career spanned many years working in banking and ultimately in accounting. She went on to establish a CPA firm and continued as the owner of PL Jones & Associates PC supporting clients and community organizations throughout Worcester County and the state of MA.

Her support of the community includes a deep connection to the Abby’s House, the Diocese of Worcester, Family Health Center of Worcester, Greater Worcester Community Foundation, Notre Dame Academy, United Way of Central Ma and the Worcester Women’s History Project of Worcester.

She was dedicated to her family and  has even been quoted in published articles stating she could not have accomplished what she has in her life without the incredible family support system she had with her husband and six children.

She was very committed to supporting those in need, so the family asks in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Abby’s House, 54 High Street, Worcester, MA 01609.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 30 from 4-7pm at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 31st at 10am in Saint Paul’s Cathedral, 38 High Street, Worcester.  Burial will follow on Thursday, April 6th commencing at 9am from the funeral home to Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave, Paxton.
