Paul "Dana" Ashford, 57 years old passed away in the loving arms of his wife on Thursday, Dec. 21.
Beloved husband of Debby (Berry) Ashford with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. Loving father to his three children, Gary Clark and his wife Crystal of Millis, Rene Boccia and her husband Douglas of Gardner and Jamie Marrone and her husband Matthew of West Boylston. Also daughter-in-law, Cindy Clark of Douglas. Devoted grandfather "Papa" to Matthew,
David, Shawn, Joshua, Anthony and our loving angel Emma.
He is survived by his mother, Norma Gray of Sturbridge and four siblings, Judy Fuller of Worcester, Billy and Larry Currier of Nevada and Linda Curnin of Millbury. He also leaves an abundance of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dana grew up in Petersham and graduated from Worcester Boys Trade. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 170 and the Rutland Sportsman Club. Due to his illness, he recently retired from Pepsi Cola of Holden.
Dana and Debby shared a marriage of everlasting love and enduring friendship. They were two soul mates that truly belonged together. He always shared words of wisdom and Loving Hands with his children. Dana touched the lives of everyone he met through his generosity and love. He will truly be missed by all.
A funeral will be held Wednesday, Dec., 27 from FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., W. Boylston. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, W. Boylston. Visiting Hours are Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dana's name in memory of his beloved Grand-daughter Emma "Lou" to the Why Me, Inc. 1152 Pleasant St., Worcester, 01602.
