Worcester — Paul D. Cicero, 64, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Linda M. (Pastor) Cicero; four children: Jessica Nader and her husband, Joseph Nader Jr., of Leominster; Leah Cicero and her husband, Shawn Jackson, of Worcester; Tina Minor and her husband, Owen Minor, of Worcester; and Paul Davis and his wife, Brittany Davis, of Wake Forest, NC. He also leaves ten grandchildren: Joleigh, Shawn Jr., Jayden, Liana, Enzo, Zahra, Amaren, Ramiel, Marley, and Bradley; a brother, Carl Cicero of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, John Cicero and Mark Cicero.
Paul was born in Worcester, the son of Giacomo and Pauline (Awad) Cicero, and was a graduate of North High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served in the 82nd Airborne Division
Paul served the City of Worcester as a firefighter, assigned to Engine 11 at the Greendale Station and Engine 1 at the Central Division. He also served on the Dive Rescue League before retiring in 2006. A Harley-Davidson enthusiast, there was nothing he loved more than riding his rocker and taking his girls to Hampton Beach to swim in the grimy deep. Paul lived his life to the fullest and made no excuses for it. He would stand up for anyone and always did the right thing to protect a family member or friend.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, March 5, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. In honor of Paul, the family requests you wear your best Harley shirt to services Thursday. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Burial will be private in St. John’s Cemetery.
