WORCESTER-Paul W. "PI" Collette, aged 70 of Worcester, passed away in Daytona Beach, Florida on June 2nd, 2021, after a very long and courageous battle with CIPD and multiple cancers attributable to his service in the U.S Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Born in Worcester, Paul was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Paul retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Worcester as a letter carrier in 2010 due to his illnesses. He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Dorothy (Cotter) Collette, brothers Donald and David, and sisters Bernadette and Margaret. Paul is survived by his wife, Teresa (Collins) Collette, son Jody Greene and his wife Nyela of Northborough, and daughter Tammi Greene of Worcester. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jody's children Rogan and Mazie; and Tammi's son John, and his great grandson Teddy, and many nieces and nephews.
Paul graduated from Burncoat High in 1969 and Quinsigamond Community College. He was an avid softball player for many years in the Worcester Parks leagues. Paul enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Bruins, Patriots, and Red Sox. He cherished spending time with his family, most importantly traveling with his best friend and soul mate, Teresa; and vacationing regularly with his son Jody, Nyela, Rogan, and Mazie, and taking his grandson John to Florida for years as a young child.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding St. Worcester, MA.
