PAXTON-Paul A. Gaboury, 75, of Paxton, former longtime Auburn resident died unexpectedly in his home on Thursday August 4, 2022.
Paul is survived by his wife JoAnn (Atkins) Woupio-Gaboury, his daughter Christine E. Taylor & her husband Scott A. Taylor, and his grandchildren Zachary, Nathan and Luka of Auburn, his son Paul Woupio & his wife Patricia Woupio, and his grandchildren Jocelyn & Damian, of Clarence, NY his son Kristopher Woupio & his fiancee Mary Ann Wincorkowski of NY, NY, his son Eric Woupio of Paxton, MA, his brother-in-law, Harvey Atkins of Shrewsbury, MA and his sister-in-law, Mary Atkins of Webster, MA, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Paul is predeceased by his daughter, Paula A. Gaboury and his sister, Claire D. Gaboury-Constantin, who passed a week before Paul.
Born in Worcester, Paul was the son of the late Norman A. and Lorriane G. (Cournoyer) Gaboury. Paul attended St. Peter’s High School and Worcester Industrial Technical Institute.
Paul worked for The Hallamore Corporation for more than 50 years and was still working as a consultant at the time of his death. Along with his wife, JoAnn, Paul owned and operated the Webster House Restaurant in Worcester before its untimely closing in 2014. His family were founding members of North American Martyrs Parish in Auburn, where Paul served as an usher and as Principal of their CCD program. Paul served as a past chairman of the Auburn Zoning Board of Appeals and was a member of the Auburn Knights of Columbus.
Paul loved spending time with his family and his beloved dogs. He was an avid motorcyclist for many years, and loved antique shopping with JoAnn, restoring antiques, traveling, cigars and a good cognac.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday August 8, 2022 from 5-7PM in the Callahan-Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A Celebration of Paul’s Life will follow at 7PM.
Burial will be held privately.
