Paul L. Raffa, 61, of Millbury died Tues., Nov. 6, at home, after an illness. He leaves his wife of 32 years, Karin G. (Carlson) Raffa; two sons, Paul D. and his wife Kari Raffa and Andrew A. Raffa; two grandchildren, Kylie and Tyler all of Millbury; two brothers, Thomas Raffa and Donald and his wife Brenda Raffa all of Worcester; a sister, Terry Benton of Florida and nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester, son of Guido and Edith (Slonin) Raffa and graduated from, Worcester Boys Trade School, received an associate degree from Worcester Junior College and a B.A. Business Administration from Worcester State College. He was a Navy Seabee Veteran of the Vietnam War and did two tours of duty. He then went on to serve four years in the Massachusetts Army Reserve.
Paul was the director of Veterans Services for the City of Framingham, prior to that he worked for Employment and Training Resources as a Veterans Employment Counselor for 17 years in the Town of Marlborough. He was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church and the Auburn Sportsmen's Club. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed spending time at his home in Cummaquid on Cape Cod. Paul was a devoted husband and father.
Paul's Funeral Service will be held Sat., Nov. 10, at 10 AM in Epworth United Methodist Church, 64 Salisbury St., Worcester. Burial will be All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Visiting Hours are Fri., Nov. 9, from 5 to 8 PM at Lindquist Lundin Funeral Home, 36 Butler St. Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, the Memorial Fund at Epworth United Methodist Church, 64 Salisbury St.,Worcester, 01609 or to the Central Mass.
