BOSTON – Paul S. Witkowski, 68, died at home on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Paul was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Stanly P. Witkowski and Mary "Maxine" G. (O'Connell) Lindgren. He graduated from Worcester schools.
Paul worked for many years as a custodian at the Suffolk County Courthouse. He enjoyed living in Boston for the past 42 years where made many friends. Paul enjoyed playing his guitar and sharing that music, especially in the Faneuil Hall Marketplace area. He loved spending time with his family, especially during the holidays and will be remembered for causing and abundance of laughter amongst his nieces and nephews. Competing in joke telling, sometimes bad ones with his 3 brothers-in-law, Ricardo Slusnys and the late Roger Baronowski and the late Butchie Tynan was one of his great passions.
Paul leaves his son, Mark Wagner and his wife, Lucy of Jamaica Plain; his four sisters, Donna Kirkos and her longtime companion, Bob Strazini of Worcester, Paula Baronowski of Pinellas Park, FL, Susan Tynan of Worcester and Barbara Auger and her husband, David of Hudson; as well as several nephews and nieces and his son's mother, Janis Wagner of Boston. He was predeceased by his sister, Linda Slusnys.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Paul's family on Saturday, August 3rd from 8:45-9:45 a.m. at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. at Saint John's Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery.
