Paula E. (Johnson) Collins

Paula Elaine Collins (Johnson) ,70, a cherished mother, partner, and grandmother passed away after a battle with cancer on February 6th, 2025 with all of her loved ones by her side. 

Paula was born July 23rd, 1954 in Worcester, Massachusetts where she lived her whole life. She was preceded in death by her parents: Janet (Christensen) and Richard Johnson, husband: Thomas Collins, and sister-in-law: Donna Johnson. She is survived by her life partner: Daniel O'Leary, brother: Richard Johnson, daughters: Courtney Collins, Casey Williams (Kent), and Chelsea Collins (Jason), her beloved grandchildren: McKayla, Wiley, Cody, Lucy, and Harriet, niece: Melissa Johnson, and nephew: Matthew Johnson. 

Paula was a graduate of North High School. While she worked for many years for the V.F.W. and in sales, her true talent was in her creativeness and ability to make anything. Her house was always filled with the sound of a sewing machine at work as she made costumes for any child who needed one. Paula was small in stature but larger in life. She believed in wearing high shoes so her height matched her personality. She loved to entertain and host at her home. Everyone was welcome and she loved to feed anyone who walked in the door. She enjoyed traveling especially her annual trip to Aruba or her family trips to New Hampshire. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother, her grandkids were the light of her life and she loved to spoil them. We will all miss her dearly but she wanted her grandchildren to know that if they are ever missing her they just need to look up and find the brightest star in the sky, because she is there in heaven playing bingo. 

Calling hours will be from 10:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday, February 15th followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm. This will be held at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester.
