Pauline Anne McCormick

Pauline Anne McCormick, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Oakdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was the beloved wife of John F. "Jack" McCormick, III.
She was born in Brighton on June 4, 1943 a daughter of the late Richard and Anna (Casale) Taffe. Beanie, as she was affectionately referred to by family and friends for her love of hats, graduated from St. Mary's High School in Waltham. She attended Merrimack College before transferring to St. Mary's University in Kansas where she earned her Bachelor's Degree. Beanie then went on to earn her Master's Degree in Library Science from Villanova University.
Mrs. McCormick began working at Bryn Mawr University in Philadelphia and after moving to Massachusetts she worked at UMass Boston, Worcester State Consortium, Worcester Art Museum and UMass Medical Center. Beanie was the Past President of the Catholic Alumni Club of Boston and also Past President of the West Boylston Woman's Club. She was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary, West Boylston Cultural Council and a former trustee at the Beaman Memorial Library.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 32 years, John F. McCormick, III; two brothers, Michael Taffe of Maine and Richard Taffe of Boston; nieces, Katie McCormick and Tara McCormick, both of Maine, Emily Taffe of New York and Meghan Taffe of Boston; cousins, Paul Charbonier, Linda Charbonier and her husband, Al Pierce and Janice Chavis and her husband, Bob; her brother in law, Kevin McCormick and his wife Kathy and her sister in law, Ginny Aiello and her husband, Dennis; and many extended family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her niece, Robin Charbonier.
Family and friends will gather to honor, remember and celebrate her life by gathering on Wednesday, April 4th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, April 5th at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the West Boylston Celebration Committee or to the West Boylston Fire Department or a charity of one's choice.
