Pearl Mama Boateng

WORCESTER-Pearl "Mama" Boateng, 35, of Milton St. died May 28 at UMass Memorial Healthcare.

She leaves her husband, Eric Obeng Brown of Ghana; two daughters, Pearl Yaa Boatemaa Bassayin and Nicole Obeng Brown both of Worcester; her mother, Florence Boadi of Worcester, her father, Peter H. Bassayin of Ghana, four brothers, Peter Bassayin of Worcester, Bernard Kuma of Arizona, Patrick Bassayin of Ghana and Derrick Bassayin of Ghana; two sisters, Akua Addai of Worcester and Erica Bassayin of Ghana.

She was born in Ghana and was formerly a fashion designer in London.

The funeral service will be Saturday, June 10 at 10:00 AM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday, June 9 from 6:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
