WORCESTER-Pelagia M. (Stencel) Flaminio, 87, of Shrewsbury St. passed away Sun., Sept. 23 at home surrounded by her family.
Her husband, Maurice F. Flaminio passed away in 1973. She leaves two daughters, Pamela and her husband Joel Aronson of Southboro and Maureen and her husband Norman LeBoeuf of Worcester; three sisters, Alfreda Letteri of Verplanck, NY, Irene Orhn of Worcester and Jane Smith of N. Grafton; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, nieces and nephews. A son, Francis R. Flaminio predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Stanislaus and Vladislava (Bocian) Stencel and lived here all her life. Mrs. Flaminio worked as a stitcher at the former Handi Pad Co in Webster Square and then as a cashier at the former Capitol Toy before retiring. She also regularly cleaned Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and volunteered at the Prospect House for many years.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday, September 26 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. The funeral Mass will be Thursday, September 27 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 24 Mulberry St. interment will be in St, John's Cemetery.
