Leicester - Philip E. Brooks, Sr., 60, died peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence, Worcester, surrounded by his loving family.
Phil was born in Worcester, a son of the late Paul N. & Mary (Spadea) Brooks. A lifelong Leicester resident, he was raised in the Cherry Valley section of town. He graduated from Leicester High School.
Phil worked as a truck driver for his entire career, retiring from Casella Waste of Southbridge. Phil was a man with many loves; his cup of coffee, Classic cars and composing and playing music, especially with his Gibson guitar. Personally, Phil was known as a funny, stubborn but devoted family man and friend, and he especially loved the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He will be forever missed by his devoted wife of 41 years, Susan (Beaudette) Brooks; his four children, Philip E. Brooks, Jr. And his wife Kristine (Flood) of Rutland, Matthew J. Brooks of Worcester, Angela L. Belhumeur and her husband, Neal of Millbury and Jason A. Brooks and his wife, Jennifer (Bearrieault) of Gardner; his three siblings, Steve Brooks and his wife, Susan of Cherry Valley, Shirley Perron and her husband, Robert of Leicester and Marilyn Lamprey and her husband, Daniel of Leicester; his five grandchildren, Jaylynn and Lilliana of Gardner, Brooke and Gavin Belhumeur of Millbury and Hailey Brooks of Rutland; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A service and Life Celebration will be held privately.
