Philip T. Moran, 92, of West Boylston, passed away peacefully at home on January 18, 2026. He was born in Worcester on February 6, 1933, the son of the late Mildred (Dyer) Moran and Edward Moran.

Philip was a graduate of Commerce High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his military service, he worked as a carpenter alongside his brother and later dedicated more than 30 years as a custodian within the West Boylston School System, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability.

He was married to his beloved wife, Elaine D. (Buchanan) Moran, for nearly 50 years.  His first wife of over 22 years and mother of their children, Carol Foss Court, predeceased him. 

Philip was a devoted family man whose life centered around his children, grandchildren, and extended family. A lifelong and passionate Boston Red Sox fan, he especially enjoyed sharing his love of the game with those around him.

Philip is survived by his six children: Susan (Moran) Larrabee and her husband James of Phillipston; Philip Moran, Jr. and his wife Donna of Berlin; Elizabeth (Moran) Duguay and her husband Christopher of Winchendon; Peter Moran of Vancouver, WA; Jennifer Williams of Mechanicsburg, PA; and Timothy Moran and his wife Kristine of Douglas. He is also survived by his stepson, Dean Kochanowski and his wife Laura of West Boylston.

He leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Philip was predeceased by his siblings Milton Moran, Edward Moran, Anthony Moran, Hugh Moran, Catherine (Moran) O’Brien, and Mildred (Moran).

Philip will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his hard work, his service to his country, and his unwavering loyalty to the Red Sox. His legacy of love and commitment will live on through generations.

 Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Philip's life with visiting hours February 7th from 12:00pm-2:00pm at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston Street, West Boylston. A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm in the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Spring in High Plains Cemetery, Oakdale.
