Phyllis I. Novia

WEST BOYLSTON-Phyllis I. (Pyne) Novia, 92, passed away Wednesday, February 28 in UMASS Medical Center

Her husband of 71 years, Richard A. Novia, 91, passed away in 2023. She leaves three sons, Dennis R. Novia and his wife, Paula of West Boylston, James E. Novia and his wife, Elaine of West Boylston and Kevin P. Novia of Worcester; five grandchildren, Alison, Andrew, Patrick, Sarah and Jessica and  a great-granddaughter, Jariella. Two siblings, Edward Pyne and Virginia LaVigne predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Edward and Mary (Cotter) Pyne.

Phyllis was a secretary for many years at Fallon Clinic. In her retirement she enjoyed working part-time at Checkerboard. Phyllis enjoyed 10 pin bowling in several leagues in her younger years and won several singles tournaments. 

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 5 at 11am in Fay Brothers Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, the Disabled Americans Veterans at www.help.dav.org
