Worcester-Rachel T. (DeNitti) Bromage, 94, of Worcester died Wednesday, January 19 in the Beaumont Nursing Center, Westborough.

Her husband, Ralph F. Bromage died in 1985. She leaves two children, Edward J. and his wife, Meribeth Bromage of Upton and Ellen and her husband, Daniel O'Leary of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Jaimelynn and her husband, Jonathan Briggs of Oxford, Jillian and her husband, Jason Ferschke of Dudley, Eric Bromage of Boston, Lindsay Bromage and her wife, Kelly Mulligan of Troy, NY, Jennifer and her husband, Luke Renzoni of Leicester and Daniel O'Leary of West Boylston; a sister, Joanne and her husband, Jack Bosch of Westborough; a sister-in-law, Phyllis DeNitti of West Boylston and nieces and nephews. Four siblings, Michael DeNitti, Palma Rabidou, Teresa Charamella and Rudolph DeNitti predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Augusta (Roncone) DeNitti and graduated from Commerce High School.

Rachel worked as a bookkeeper and payroll clerk for the Anderson Products Company. In her retirement, she volunteered for 16 years at Quinsigamond Community School, where she received numerous awards recognizing her commitment to promoting literacy in children ,among them, the Thomas Jefferson Award from the Worcester Public Schools.

She was a longtime member of the North American Martyrs Church and of the College Hill Civic Association where she held numerous administrative positions. Rachel loved to knit and was an accomplished seamstress. She was an exceptional cook and especially enjoyed baking for her family.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 24 at 11am in the North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Dr., Auburn. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery. Visiting hours are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, North American Martyrs Church.
