Rafael Angel Cruz

WORCESTER-Rafael A. Cruz, 56, of 507 Main St. and Florida died Mon. Feb. 21 in Orlando Regional Medical Center, Orlando.

He leaves a daughter, Tanya McCarthy of Worcester; a brother, Jose R. Cruz of Florida; a sister, Carmen S. Cruz of Caguas, Puerto Rico; two grandchildren, Nydaja Ramos and Yvette McCarthy; two nephews, Carlos A. Garcia and Michael Cruz and three nieces, Wilma Garcia, Madeline Cruz and Diana Cruz. A sister, Maria T Cruz died in 2000.

He was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico son of Evaristo C. and Eulogia C. (Cruz) Rodriguez. Mr. Cruz served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of St. Peter's Church.

The funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 26 from the CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Friday, Feb. 25 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter's Church, 931 Main St., Worcester, MA 01610.
