WORCESTER – Rafael B. Lima, 34, passed away Tuesday, July 14, at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
He leaves his parents, Agenor Silva and Maria (Barros) Lima of Worcester; his brother, Thiago Lima and his wife, Christine, of Leominster; his beloved nephews, Lorenzo, Noah, and Miles; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Rafael was born in Afogados da Ingazeira, Brazil, and graduated from North High School. He worked at Jefferson Rubber Works Company.
Rafael was a lover of the arts and a passionate and talented sketch artist. He expressed his creativity through his drawings and had a natural gift for bringing his ideas to life on paper. He will be remembered for his artistic spirit and the love he shared with his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visiting Hours are Sunday, July 26 from 2 to 5pm at Callahan Fay Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, July 27 at 10am in St. Joseph’s Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Even after his passing, Rafael continued to demonstrate his generosity. As an organ donor, he offered hope and a new opportunity for life to others, leaving behind an everlasting legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness.
