WORCESTER-Ramona Cruz, 75, died Tuesday, June 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Ramon Cruz and Narcisa Romero. Ramona worked as a Social Worker Assistant for a period of time, and prior to that, she worked for Hanesbrands, Inc.
Ramona is survived by four children; Nilda Pagan and husband Ivan of Worcester, Maria Torres and husband Miguel of Cherry Valley, Yanet Sanchez of Attleboro and Ivette Veras and husband Johnny of Worcester; her brother, Norberto Cruz and sister, Aida Cruz, both in Puerto Rico. She also leaves six grandchildren, Ivan, Joamy, Johnny, Jr, Joel, Geisser and Johanna and two great grandchildren, Janayalis and Dabimael, and several nephews and nieces. Ramona was predeceased by her brother, Victor Cruz.
Ramona lived life to its fullest; she enjoyed traveling, dining out and playing bingo. Her family and faith were very important to her. Spending time together was what she enjoyed most.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 1st at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street. Visiting hours will be held from 10:30 am until Noon immediately followed by the funeral service. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.
