WORCESTER-Raquel M. (Giaquinto) Foley, 57, of Worcester died Mon., April 30, at home surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband of 36 years, Thomas J. Foley; a son, Sean M. and his wife Kelly Foley of Oxford; a daughter, Lori A. Foley of Worcester; her mother, Rose (Caputo) Giaquinto; three grandchildren, Justin, Erin and Sara; a brother, Joseph M. and his wife Kaethe Giaquinto of Worcester; three sisters, Julie A. and her husband Raymond Norton of Del Ray Beach, FL, Joanne and her husband Anthony Ursoleo of Sunrise, FL and Jean M. and her husband Ralph Casey of Worcester; a godchild, Eric Ursoleo and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a nephew, Keith Norton and a brother-in-law, Robert E. Foley.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Joseph M. Giaquinto and graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School. Raquel worked for the Teamsters Local %23170 at the Nissan Thrifts for 17 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, decorating her house at Christmas Time and helping her customers.
The funeral will be held Friday, May 4 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Ann Church, 24 Mulberry St. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Thursday, May 3 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. The family requests flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
