WORCESTER-Raymond B. Corbett, 80, passed away Sunday, June 7. He leaves three sisters, Florence C. O'Brien, Hazel M. Gorczynski and Rosemary A. Borst all of Worcester, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was born in Worcester the son of Christopher J. and Rose (McQuade) Corbett and graduated from Commerce High School and Worcester Junior College. Mr. Corbett was a WW II Army Veteran. He worked as an inspector for the U.S. Government. He was a member of St. John's Church and a longtime member of Ascension Church and Vernon Hill American Legion Post %23435.
The funeral will be Tuesday, June 9 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John's Church, 40 Temple St. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. John's Church, 40 Temple St., Worcester, MA 01604.
