Raymond A. Johnson

Raymond A. Johnson, 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Leominster Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born in Milford on September 2, 1954 a son of the late Elmer E. and Ann G. (Dolan) Johnson. He attended Westborough High School and following graduation began work at SweetLife where he was employed for the next twenty years. From there, he worked another twenty years at Weetabix Company where he retired as an operator manager in 2019.

Raymond was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed tinkering with things to learn their inner workings. He was an avid car collector, mechanic, creator and would never miss the opportunity to help others. Raymond enjoyed going out to dinner to have a good time and often made lasting memories with his laughter and jokes.

He leaves behind his son, Jeremy R. Johnson of Aspen, Colorado; his brothers, Richard Johnson of Monson and Robert Johnson of Sterling; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He also leaves behind his faithful four legged companion, Scooter who will miss him so.

His family takes comfort in knowing he is together again with his beloved daughter, Melissa A. Johnson who died in 2003.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Ray's life on March 2, 2020 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Burial will be held privately at Mount Vernon Cemetery.
