C. Richard Lotsbom, 82, of Worcester and Chatham, died Monday, January 19, in his home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Gertrude F. (Gustafson) Lotsbom; two sons, Robert R. and his wife Dawn Lotsbom of Sutton and David B. and his wife Carolyn Lotsbom of Walpole and a daughter; Nancy N. Lotsbom of Worcester; five grandchildren, and two nieces. He was born in Worcester son of C. Iver and Hilda S. (Jacobson) Lotsbom. He graduated from Commerce High School and Worcester Jr. College.
Mr. Lotsbom was an engineer at Heald Machine Co. and Cincinnati Milacron for 42 years, before retiring.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and it’s Church Council and Social Ministry Committee, the Retired Men’s Club of Greendale and the American Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He was a manager for the Joe Schwartz Little League. Mr. Lotsbom was a avid sailor, a big band enthusiast and enjoyed traveling
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 21, at 11:30 a.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church 73 Lancaster St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at the Trinity Lutheran Church 73 Lancaster St. 01609.
