Richard T. Mailea, 49, of 49 MaCracken Rd., formerly of Worcester, died Tuesday, April 23, in the Worcester Medical Center at St. Vincent Hospital, after an eight month struggle with cancer.
He leaves a son, Richard Mailea Jr. of Worcester; two daughters, Jessica Mailea and Erica Mailea both of Worcester; his mother, Beatrice A. (McDonough) Boliver of Worcester; four brothers, Francis P. Mailea of Leicester, Martin J. Mailea of Worcester, Robert E. Mailea of Millbury and Thomas S. Boliver of Riverside, RI; three sisters, Theresa A. Mattus of Millbury, Kathleen Blair and Patricia M. Lloyd both of Worcester; four grand children and several nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Francis W. Mailea. He worked for Universal Metal. Hr graduated from North High School.
The funeral will be held Thursday, April 25, from Fay Brothers Funeral Home (www.faybrothers.com) 9 Hammond St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sweden 1 Wiser Ave. Worcester. Burial will beat the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Wednesday, April 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
