Richmond Oppong, died in his sleep on Friday, December 8, 2023. His loss is completely unexpected, and his family is profoundly saddened.
Richmond was born September 14, 1965, in Agogo Ashanti- Akim Ghana to the late Mr. Kwabena Yeboah and Maame Rose Agyekum. He was the third of five children, and the first son among his siblings. Richmond professed his life to Jesus Christ at an early age and remained faithful to the Christian faith all his life. Richmond graduated from Collins Secondary School in Ghana. He started a trading business after graduation which was his means of livelihood until he migrated to America.
Richard Oppong was married once with no children and never remarried again. He migrated from Ghana to United States in 2000, lived in New York City for a short period and finally settled in Worcester, Massachusetts. It was here in Worcester, an unfamiliar place in an unfamiliar country, that he began to build his life to become the person we knew him to be.
Richmond was an exemplary man and human being. He embodied the best of qualities: hardworking, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in his care for family and friends. A man who loved his family and was respectful to everyone. Richmond loved to read the bible, sing, listen to music, watch movies, and was a mentor to others. He always opened his heart to all, and never hesitated to help anyone.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measures.
