Rita V. (Evanowski) Hohler, 78, passed away on September 14, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Worcester on December 6, 1941 a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Szczurko) Evanowski. She attended St. Mary's School and went on to earn her Bachelor's of Accounting from Assumption College. For many years, Rita was employed for Lutco, Inc. working as their Human Resource Manager.
She loved reading, playing games on her Kindle and spending time at the beach.
She leaves behind her loving children, Blythe Hohler, Christopher Hohler, former son in law, like a second son, Richard Lemoine Jr. and her step daughter, Kim D. Germain, a step granddaughter, Jade Germain; a brother Richard and his wife, Patricia "Pat" Evanowski, and Robert and his wife, Jeanie Evanowski; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and many friends.
Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold F. Hohler in 2014.
In accordance with her wishes, funeral services will be held privately and are in the care of the Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston.
