Rita B. Sullivan 84, of 10 Hemlock St., formerly of Heard St. died Wednesday (Oct. 30) in UMASS Memorial Medical Center-Lake Ave. Campus, after an illness.

She leaves several nephews and nieces, among them, three nieces, Nancy M. Jessie, Joan M. Hickey, and Elizabeth A. Pastore all of Worcester and a nephew, John F. Hyland of Holliston, and many great nephews and great nieces. Six Brothers, Francis Sullivan, John Sullivan, James Sullivan, William Sullivan, Walter Sullivan and Thomas Sullivan and Five Sisters, Mary Kenney, Margaret Murphy, Elizabeth Adams, Ann Hyland, and Catherine Sullivan all of Worcester all predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank D. and Mary E. (Lee) Sullivan.

She graduated from St. Peter's High School and St. Vincent School of Nursing.

She was a Registered Nurse at St. Clare's Hospital in New York City for many years before retiring.

She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, St. Vincent School of Nursing Alumni Association, Guild of Our Lady of Providence, and the Diocesan Council of Catholic Nurses.

A Funeral will be held Saturday (Nov.2) from Fay Brothers Funeral Home (www.faybrothers.com) 9 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church 341 June St. Burial will be in Saint John's Cemetery. Calling Hours are Friday (Nov1) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or contributions may be made to the charity of donors choice.
