WORCESTER-Robert L. Cardinal, 84, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Millbury Healthcare Center.

Robert leaves his wife of 40 years, Rosemarie (McCurry) Cardinal; six children, Diane Stratton and her husband Dennis of Northbridge, Sharon Peters and her husband Robert of Whitinsville, Linda Cardinal of Nevada, Richard Morley and his wife Virginia of Centerville, Sharon Morley and her husband Robert Ilenstine of Goleta, CA and Candy Powers and her husband James of Holden; six grandchildren, Christopher Morley, Nathan Cardinal, Brendon Lange, Ashley Powers, Nicole Costa, Patrick Powers and three great grandchildren, Genevieve, Adian and Anabella Morley. He was predeceased by Anna St. John, who raised him since he was a young child.

Bob was born in Worcester and graduated from St. Peter's High School and Worcester Junior College. He was an inspector and supervisor at Wyman Gordon Co. for 40 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Alhambra Council %2388. Bob was a handyman and jack of all trades, he also enjoyed bingo, trips to the casino, walking the beaches of Cape Cod and animals. Most of all, Bob enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren who he adored.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Millbury Healthcare Center for their wonderful care and compassion.

Visitation for Bob will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 am at CALLAHAN FAY CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street on Monday, July 27 followed by a Mass at 11:00 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 23 Fales St. Burial will be held at a later date on Cape Cod. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 72 East Concord Street, C3, Boston, MA 02118 or the Millbury Healthcare Center, Activity Fund, 312 Millbury Ave., Millbury, 01527.
