Robert B. Clarke, 88, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Waltham on November 6, 1933, son of the late William B. Clarke and Violet Ferguson. He attended school in Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1951. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country during the Korean War. On December 21, 1957, he married Martha Sutherland to whom he has been married to for the last 64 years. He went to night school at Northeastern University, where he received an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering.

Bob was employed for several years as an Electrical Engineer with the Raytheon Company and later with the former Foxboro Company until his retirement. He was a longstanding member of the Freemasons. Bob was a Christian man who shared the gospel whenever he saw an opportunity and shared the story of salvation whether you wanted to listen or not! He loved the Lord and was looking forward to spending eternity in his heavenly home. He loved the holidays and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.

Robert leaves behind his loving wife, Martha J. Clarke; his daughter, Kim (Clarke) Killam; his grandsons, Nathan McBride and Casey Killam; his granddaughters, Hannah (McBride) Hanlon, Martha (McBride) Edwards and Kristen Killam; his sister, Ann Valentin; and his eight great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his son, Robert B Clarke Jr, his daughter, Pamela E. (Clarke) McBride and his brothers, Arthur Clarke and William Clarke.

Family and friends will celebrate his life with visiting hours on Saturday, January 22nd from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. A funeral service and military honors will conclude at 2:00pm. Burial will be held privately in the family plot at Edwards Cemetery in Saxonville at a later time.
