WORCESTER-Robert Francis Falvey, Sr., 71, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. Mary Health Care Center. He leaves his wife of 40 years Patricia A. (Bergeron) Falvey and their three children, Robert F. Falvey, Jr. of Worcester, Ryan P. Falvey and his wife Jasmine of Worcester and Erin L. Gingras and her husband Joseph of Brookfield; eight grandchildren, Keenan, Rhiannon, Ethan, Christos, Jayden, Shaymus, Jaymeson and Shane. He also leaves seven siblings; Dorothy Vankeuren of Tequesta, FL, Michael Falvey of Worcester, Kathleen Pescaro of Shrewsbury, Gerald Falvey of Worcester, Carol Fraini of Auburn, David Falvey of Shrewsbury and Sharon Falvey of Shrewsbury; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by four siblings; Rev. Edmund Falvey, James Falvey, Francis Falvey and Richard Falvey.


He was born in Worcester, son of Edmund and Nellie (Sabonaitis) Falvey and graduated from Commerce High School where he played football. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Bob was a manager at Hotel Vernon for 35 years before retiring. He belonged to the Vernon Hill American Legion Post 435 for 50 years and enjoyed playing golf and following all the New England sports teams.


Bob's funeral will be held on Friday, March 20 from CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 10:00 am at St. John's Church, 44 Temple Street. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday, March 19 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
