Robert "Joey" Fortin

Worcester-Robert "Joey" Fortin, Jr., 42, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 in his home.

He was born on February 5, 1978 son of the late Adele (Newbold) and Robert Fortin, Sr. He is survived by his sister, Katrina Fortin of Auburn. Joey spent all his life in the Worcester area. For the last fifteen years, Joey had been working for several area Price Choppers. Previously he was employed at Macy's department store in Auburn.

Joey was known for his love and large collection of Hello Kitty items. He would most often be seen wearing his Hello Kitty sneakers which fit his bright contagious smile. He also enjoyed music, dancing, and cooking. He was especially excited and pleasantly astonished when a new recipe came out correctly. He would be so proud of his work that he would post pictures of his masterpieces on Facebook.

He leaves many behind that will miss him dearly, including his close family of friends from the "Houghton" clan, Heather Shilale of Douglas, Kathleen Morgan of Worcester, Patricia Rich of Florida, Alice Morgan of Florida and Debra McFetridge of Whitinsville. He was a loving Uncle to Nathan Boisvert, Joseph Morgan, Dante Kelsaw, Elizabeth Morgan, Kayleigh Rich along with several other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Joey's life Sunday, November 8 with visiting hours from 9:00am until 12:00pm at Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A funeral service will immediately follow.
