WORCESTER-Robert A. Gagnon, 81, of Worcester passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, Dec. 14th joining his wife of 58 years, Anne F. (Flynn) Gagnon who died April 11th.
He leaves three children, Cheryl A. Courtney and her husband Daniel of Worcester, Patricia A. McEwen and her companion Steve Montigny of Webster and Robert S. Gagnon and his wife Gail of Grand Prairie, TX; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Irma (Georgette) Schober, Adrian Gagnon, Constance Saylor, Lila Farmer, Paul Gagnon, Mariette Kennedy and Norman Gagnon and nieces and nephews. A brother, Adelbert Gagnon and a sister, Lorraine Petraitis predeceased him. He was born in Fall River, son of Adelbert P. and Ida M. (Arsenault) Gagnon and was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and served ten years in the Air Force Reserve.
Bob worked for the US Postal Service for 21 years, retiring in 1988. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed country music. He loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed.
Visiting Hours are Wednesday Dec.16 from 5 to 8 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. Burial will be private.
