WORCESTER-Robert M. Killoran, 50, of 32 Falcon St. died Tuesday, March 1 after a long battle with kidney disease.

He leaves a son, Robert Falco-Killoran of Orange; his mother, M. Arlene(Burbank) Killoran of Worcester; two brothers, John F. Killoran and Stephen T. and his wife Carol Killoran all of Worcester; three sisters, Kathleen M. Killoran of Woodstock, CT, Elizabeth A. Bowles and her husband Timothy of Barre, and Margaret E. Killoran of Worcester;two nieces,Jennifer Killoran of Worcester and Jessica Hazard of Thompson, CT and a nephew, Ryan Killoran of Worcester.


He was born in Worcester the son of John J. Killoran and graduated from Holy Name High School. He attended Quinsigamond Community College. Robert was an accomplished musician who played in many bands including, Preston Porter, Big Talk, The Sled Dogs and more recently toured with the members of Fogg Hat. Mr. Killoran worked with many artists as a member of the Downtown Blues Review at the MarketPlace Cafe in Boston and was a member of the house band at the Sunday Night Blues Jam at the Chicken Bone Saloon in Framingham. He played at Blues festivals along the entire east coast as a member of the Woodburn-Arena band and appeared at the Boston Blues Festival last September with The Porch Rockers. He also participated for many years in the annual Teddy Bear Clinic sponsored by the Children's Clinic at University of Massachusetts Hospital.

Calling hours will be Sunday, March 6 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be Monday, March 7 from THE CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 MYRTLE ST. Family and friends should gather at 10:00 a.m. with burial following in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Robert Killoran Memorial Music Scholarship, c/o Barre Savings Bank, P.O. Box 940, Barre, MA 01005.
