Robert J. Lauria

WORCESTER-Robert J. Lauria, 57, died Monday, April 4, 2011.

His wife, Marianne (Ryan) Lauria died in 1990. He leaves his six children, Amy J. DeSimone and her husband Matthew of Spencer, Colleen F., Mary K., Ryan A., Michael J. and John J. Lauria all of Worcester; his mother, Nellie (Laucis) Lauria of Worcester; his brother, Joseph F. Lauria, Jr. of Worcester and six grandchildren, Matthew, Mason, Myles, Mollie, Joey and Ryder. His son, Robert "Baby Bobby" Lauria, Jr. and a brother, Frank J. Lauria predeceased him.

Robert was born in Worcester the son of Joseph F. Lauria. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. Robert worked for Bay State Abrasions. Previously he worked for Worcester City Hospital and Westborough State Hospital. Robert was a volunteer and trustee at the Community Center in Quinsigamond Village. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.
