Robert C. Roland

WORCESTER-Robert C. Roland, Sr., 90, formerly of Pocasset, RI passed away Tuesday, May 27. His wife Constance (Zemaitis) Roland predeceased him. He leaves his son, Robert C. Roland, Jr. of Newport, RI and his daughter, Constance G. McFarland of Leicester; his granddaughter, Sandra Guyette; his great granddaughter, Caitlin; a brother, Ellis Roland, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters, Virginia Ringdall of St. Petersburg, FL and Hazel LaBrie of Atlanta, GA and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in Worcester the son of Ellis H. and Esther (Okerberg) Roland and graduated from South High School. Mr. Roland worked at Wyman Gordon Company for 30 years in the Die Shop and also worked for 10 years as shipping supervisor at Parker Manufacturing. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, he was a 32 Degree Mason at the Athelston Lodge, Shriner's and was a scoutmaster.

Visiting hours will be Friday, May 30 from 4 to 6 PM at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. A Prayer Service will be held at 5 PM during visiting hours. Burial Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Overlook Masonic Health Center, 88 Masonic Home Rd., P.O. Box 1000, Charlton, MA 01507.
