Roberta Ann Marley

LANCASTER, CA-Roberta Ann (Doyle) Marley, 75, born and raised in Worcester, died June 20, 2010 in Lancaster, CA. She is survived by her husband William R. Marley of Lancaster, CA; two sons, William J. Marley and Steven W. Marley and his wife Maria, all of Simi Valley, CA; her daughter Kerri L. Davidson of Lancaster, CA; and her brother James A. Doyle of Worcester. She had five beautiful grandchildren David-23, Sarah-19, Christina-17, Deanna-16 and Kaela-9. Roberta also had many wonderful nieces and nephews and many godchildren. She will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by three brothers, her twin Robert "Buddy", John "Jack" and Cornelius "Ken" Doyle and two sisters Sheila Prisco and Kathleen Doyle.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Cornelius F. and Winifred R. (O'Brien) Doyle and graduated from St. Peter's High School in 1952. In 1954 she married William Raymond Marley and moved to California where she raised her 3 children. She worked for the Simi Valley Unified School District as a campus supervisor for 35 years. After she retired she moved to the Palmdale/ Lancaster area in the Antelope Valley where she had lived for the past 6 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed going to Disneyland and Las Vegas.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 2 at CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, MA. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
