Ronald I. Borjeson

WEST BOYLSTON-Ronald I. Borjeson, Jr., 81, passed away Monday, August 31.

He leaves his wife of 59 years, Anna M. (Decker) Borjeson; three sons, Ronald G. Borjeson and his companion, Sheila Garzoni of Plymouth, Richard H. Borjeson and his wife, Maryann of Worcester and Alan C. Borjeson and his wife, Kathy of Port Richie, FL; his daughter, Marcia A. Roberts and her husband, Todd of West Boylston; three brothers, Gilbert Borjeson of Sandwich, Howard Borjeson of Bowie, MD and Richard Borjeson of Berwin, PA; seven grandchildren among them Jeremy R. Borjeson of West Boylston, two great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was born in Worcester the son of Ronald I. and Helene C. (Krzinowek) Borjeson and graduated from North High School, Worcester Junior College and WPI. Mr. Borjeson was a WW II Army veteran. He worked as a foreman at Norton Company for 36 years retiring in 1987. As a proud supporter of preserving history and a civil war enthusiast, he was responsible for marking and commemorating several historical sites in Worcester and West Boylston. He was a researcher for the Worcester Historical Museum and served as an active member of the Leicester and West Boylston Historical Societies. He was the former Historical Commissioner for the Town of West Boylston. He was a volunteer at the Worcester Military Museum and was a member of 10th Massachusetts Battery, Massachusetts Arms and the Worcester Chapter of the Civil War Roundtable. He was also a lifelong member of the NRA.

Mr. Borjeson's funeral will be Friday, September 4 at 11:00 AM at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St. Interment with military honors will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday, September 3 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
