WEBSTER-Rosalyn L. (Oliver) Carlson, 92, died Sunday, February 6th at Webster Manor Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Herbert G. Carlson in 1990. She leaves a daughter Brenda E. Joyce and her husband Jack of Webster; seven grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known as "Little Bit Gram", Kelly, Michael, Kayla, Christopher, James, William and Richard; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves nephews and very special nieces who always took time to visit and help her. She was predeceased by two sons, David Carlson in 2003 and William Carlson in 2008 and a brother, Norman Oliver.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Elliott and Mary (McIntyre) Oliver and was raised in Charlton where she graduated from Charlton High School. Rosalyn enjoyed cooking, crocheting, camping and spending summers in Freeport, Maine. She was a proud member of the Mayflower Society. The family would like to thank the staff at Webster Manor for the wonderful care they provided to Rosalyn.
The funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 9 at Quinsigamond United Methodist Church, 9 Stebbins Street, Worcester. A visiting hour will also be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service in church. Burial at West Ridge Cemetery in Charlton will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosalyn's memory may be made to the Quinsigamond United Methodist Church or to Boston Children's Hospital at www.bostonchildrens.org.
