WORCESTER-Rosemary A. (Corbett) Borst, 97, passed away Monday, December 26 in the Beaumont Rehabilitation Center, Westborough.

 

Her former husband, Lawrence Borst, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Christopher and Rose (McQuade) Corbett and graduated at Commerce High School.

 

Rosemary was a secretary for over 25 years at the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. She loved traveling, gambling, sunshine and time spent with family.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia and her husband, Mark Hebert of Upton; two grandsons, Myles of Melbourne, FL and Derek of Upton and many nieces and nephews, among them, James, David and Joan Gorczynski. She was predeceased by six siblings, George, John, Raymond and Helen Corbet, Florence O’Brien and Hazel Gorczynski and a beloved nephew, Robert Gorczynski.

 

A Visiting Hour will be held Friday, December 30 from 8:30 to 9:30am at Callahan Fay Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle St. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10am in St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
