SPENCER-Russell A. Barnes, 75, passed away Sunday , October 7th in Harrington Hospital.
A long time resident of Spencer. He leaves his wife of 44 years, Helen (St. Pierre) Barnes; a sister and brother.in law Debra a d Steven Warmen of North Brookfield; three sisters, Barbara S. Hanson, Joan H. Peters and Carol A. Duhart and nieces and nephews. A brother, Robert E. Barnes predeceased him. He also leaves his beloved service dog Lady. He was born in Worcester, son of Wilfred and Josephine (Graves) Barnes.
Russell worked for the City of Worcester School Department, retiring several years ago, He was a member of the National and Mass Sons of the America Revolution and the Spencer Agricultural Assoc. Russell enjoyed showing Pinto Horses throughout the New England Circuit. His favorite horse was his Suzy.
A Private Burial Service will be held in Saint John's Cemetery, Worcester.
