Russell C. Lindquist

April 12, 1921 — December 20, 2008

WORCESTER-Russell C. Lindquist, 87, of Worcester, died Sat., Dec. 20 in UMASS Medical Center. His wife of 62 years, "Ann" Antoinette (Lorusso) Lindquist predeceased him. He leaves two daughters, Mae H. Lindquist of Worcester and Jo-Ann E. Shepard of Uxbridge; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A granddaughter, Kathleen Mae Shepard, predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester, son of Carl and Hildegard E. (Ahlin) Lindquist, graduated from South High School and Worcester Boys Trade School as a machinist. He was a Navy veteran of World War II in submarine service in the South Pacific. Mr. Lindquist worked for Wyman Gordon Company for 55 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Morning Star Lodge in Worcester, American Legion Post 318, VFW Post 3657 and the Auburn Sportsman Club. He was an avid outdoor sports fan and loved to watch the Red Sox and Patriots.
A funeral service will be held Fri., Dec., 26, at 11AM in Bethlehem Covenant Church, 46 Greenwood St. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery.
